Projecct At A Stand Still

Dennis has been busy cutting, clearing, hauling and stacking wood with Steve.  Steve is clearing his back lot for a huge storage/pole barn.

Moving On To The Next Project

Don't the doors look nice?  The wall not so much but once started there's no turning back.  We could have put the old paneling back but I wanted white bead board paneling.  I couldn't find the right paneling online so that meant a trip to the store.  But our neighbor who does drywall said he could cover up the icky wall mess.  So drywall it is.  But the panelling is glued and nailed with many many nails which isn't easy to get off the walls and it is behind the heating elements.  The job just keeps getting bigger everyday.

Spring Is Here

The lake opened up on Monday, March 19, four loons and two ducks returned and were swimming around.  The ice was just in front of our house in the bay from point to point but it is all gone today.  The lake was smooth as glass this morning.  Dennis took the kayak out for a spin around the like yesterday afternoon.  I think, thats crazy but he enjoyed the ride.

Our Driveway Two Weeks After The Storm

Spring has arrived in the North woods not sure what the high temp was maybe around 65 degrees.  It was beautiful sunny blue skies day.  Great for a walk on the road no more snow or ice.

Leap Year 2012 Winter Storm

February Challenge NOT Met

Because of this

The insurance company is canceling our homeowners insurance because don't have stairs by the patio door entrance.  We spent a whole day designing, buying and selecting lumber to build the stairs before March 7.  Dennis had one whole day to work on the deck before the Leap Year Winter Storm of 2012.

The steps are done.  The pics have been sent to the insurance agent and to the underwriters for approval.  The look nice what more could the want????  More pictures of the storm to follow.
