Fall Is Here

Looking down our driveway

The garage is finished, looks good, now we are filling it with toys, storing all the summer stuff and garden goodies. In other words its full.

Out my window this morning.

Guess What?

Yep, it snowed again.  And we lost power again yesterday, thats two Mondays in a row.  Its been for just short periods of time 30-40 minutes but still its an inconvenience.  It is suppose to be in the high 50's by the end of the week, waiting for that we haven't had one fifty degree day in 2013.  Summer has to be coming soon the snowbirds are back.

Hannah went to prom on Saturday.  This is the dress she got shopping at Mall of America during spring break.  

And this is the wrist corsage Wyatt got (with help from his mom, I'm sure) to go with the dress.  It went together very nice (doesn't look that great here).  We played it safe and got a white boutonniere with silver accents.

32 Degrees and Raining

Looking down the driveway on Friday but maybe the rain today will wash some of this away.

On Friday night went to see Oklahoma at Merrill High School, they did a fantastic job.

Only Fools Run/Walk

Because three people bailed on Heather and I, Heather did not want to walk with me so we bailed.  I didn't really want to walk it was pouring at registration time, so we picked up our shirts, water bottles and purchased our "fools hats."   Money for the hats went for a good cause, made by the Girl Scouts, the money raised will be used toward European trip next summer.  I don't think it was raining at start time of race/walk but plan to use the hat next year.

Spring Still Not Here

Out my window Monday.

Lots of snow left on the ground and the road has layers of ice.  The temp was 36 degrees today but we need lots of days of 40 and above.

Small But Finished

A Koin Keeper by Little Scraps from This & That.  The button matches the fabric perfectly, this wasn't planned.  I just received a packet of buttons in the mail this week for another project.  

And the inside of the coin purse.  I used some really stiff interfacing which added just the right body but made it very difficult to turn right side out.  And there was no way I would be able to top stitch.  I am happy with the way it turned out.  Simple and fast project.

The crochet background is the side of future crocheted pillow cover I'm working on, hope to have them finished by next week.

Another Big Project Finished

Dennis finished insulating the garage ceiling.  The garage should be much warmer from the small amount of heat that might eacape from the "Green Monster"  and the closed ceiling.  Before there were wide open spaces along the soffit sides, I think, thats what they are called.

Out My Window Today

The sun occasionally peeks out.  The temperature is 31 degree this morning,  it seems like a nice spring day.  We are able to take a slight breather now, Hannah finished up with the musical Annie this weekend.  Everything went well and everyone did a fantastic job.

Another horse fabric bag for Hannah only this one has a drawstring top.  I should have pulled the top out  for display.  I have another project that I finished this week that I haven't photographed yet plus it is gift for somebody.  I will post it sometime next week after the musical stuff is over.  Three performance down just three more to go.

Finally Getting Snow

After a week of below zero temps, we are finally getting some snow and it has warmed up some.
