Reflections

Relaxing by the lake after a dirty day cleaning up the yard with the leaf sucker upper.  The yard looks fantastic but the driver of the lawn tractor is a mess.  What better place to relax than by the lake enjoying the peace and quiet and reflections on the lake.

I forgot to post that the lake finally opened April 1.

One more thing, I wanted to post my Easter table setting.

First Day of Spring

On March 11, it looked like spring was on it way.
Flowers were sprouting, the ground almost bare and then
one week later this, Spring has not sprung and they say we could get more snow this Wednesday.

One of the Many Things I'm Working

I didn't finish in time for Valentines Day.  I have fabric cut for four placemats but my goal was to finish just two for Valentine but I ran out of small squares on the second placemat.  If I had enough fabric squares, I still wouldn't have met my goal.  Oh well........

Nice Weekend in the North Woods

Feeding the birds because you can't feed the deer in Forest, Oneida and Vilas Counties.

Dennis is getting cabin fever and wanted some fresh so he came along on the winter house checks, done on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.  Plus it was so nice out we kept going and went for a walk down the road three days in a row.  Nice, quiet, no wind, no cars and nice temperature.
Don't get to see the house from this viewpoint very often.
One last thing it's Super Bowl 50 Sunday between Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos.

No Fire Burnng in the Green Monster

Dennis had surgery on his neck on January 19.  It was suppose to be a disk replacement between C7 and L1 but because of "his anatomy," they did a disk fusion.  The surgery did eliminate all the stabbing pains in the should blade and useless left arm and hand. There is a long recovery time, 4-6 weeks of no stairs, driving and a 10# weight limit.  So, for the time being the Green Monster is not burning, we are using our LP to heat the house and water heater.  I did get a photo tutorial and a hands on lesson before the surgery but I don't like playing with fire in the Green Monster.   I decided I
would plow the driveway when it snows with the ATV.

I am a terrible ATV driver and a terrible snow plower.  I need lots of practice, its very obvious someone else is plowing our driveway.  We got 6" of snow yesterday and last night, what a mess.  I'm just glad it wasn't 10".  It was nice fluffy snow, good thing.
